Kevin Andrews is an experienced healthcare executive with almost 20 years of leadership at Emory Healthcare.
As the Chief Operating Officer and Lead Executive at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital (ESJH) in Atlanta, Georgia, Kevin oversees all aspects of a comprehensive 410-bed facility generating $2.2 billion in gross revenue with over 2,100 full-time employees. Under his leadership, ESJH has realized 139% growth in NOI through the development of key service lines and strategic initiatives. ESJH has solidified a reputation as a top-tier hospital, renowned for its cardiac, oncology and orthopedic care, achieving seven consecutive Magnet designations and ranked as both Atlanta and Georgia’s second-best hospital by US News and World Report for eight consecutive years.
Prior to his current role, Kevin was an Executive Administrator at Emory University’s Department of Medicine, where he managed a $240 million operating budget and drove significant improvements in financial performance and research funding. The Department of Medicine was comprised of more than 600 physicians, 280 university staff, 600 healthcare staff, 170 residents and over one million patient encounters across all practice sites. His leadership was pivotal in the expansion of clinical practices at locations throughout the state of Georgia and the implementation of innovative patient access and research administration initiatives.
Kevin also previously served as the Administrator for Emory Healthcare’s Cardiology physician practice. In that role, he managed P&L, operations, and strategic initiatives for 27 cardiology practices throughout the state of Georgia. In that capacity, he also led Emory Healthcare’s physician practice M&A work, including business development, acquisition, implementation and ongoing oversight of community-based practices.
Kevin holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and an MBA from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from The University of Georgia. He is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American College of Healthcare Executives and he serves as Vice Chair on the Terry College of Business Alumni Board at The University of Georgia.
