Bill Golden spent 25 years at UnitedHealthcare, most recently as the CEO of the Employer and Individual business, a $60B division, serving over 27 million members. He also managed the Northeast Region and was CEO of the New York Health Plan for eight years. He became part of UHC through the Oxford Health Plans acquisition in 2004.
Currently, Bill works as an advisor to private equity funds and earlier stage healthcare companies. He is a Board Member at United Digestive, one of the largest GI practice management companies in the U.S., a Board Member at US Anesthesia Partners,the nation’s leading provider of high-quality anesthesia services, a Board Member at Spire Orthopedic Partners, the nation’s premier management services organization supporting market-leading orthopedic surgeons and an advisor for Reset Kidney Health, a virtual clinic that offers evidence-based, multidisciplinary care to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients.
He graduated from Hofstra University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. He currently sits on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Zarb School of Business.
