Dr. Ben Kornitzer is a national leader in value-based care, primary care, and healthcare transformation. He most recently served as Chief Medical Officer at agilon health (NYSE AGL), where he was on the senior leadership team that took the company public in 2021. During his 4.5 years with agilon, Ben oversaw clinical strategy as the company grew from 50,000 full-risk partner lives to more than 750,000 full-risk lives (~$7B in revenue) across 35 markets and 15 states.
Ben brings executive management and frontline expertise in developing successful clinical transformation programs that improve quality, outcomes, and margin; building high-performance physician infrastructure and operating models; launching and scaling multi-market, multi-channel provider engagement, enablement, and joint operating committees; and developing patient-focused organizational culture.
He was previously the Chief Medical Officer of Mount Sinai Health Network (2014-2020), the Chief Operating and Strategy Officer for Balance ACO (2013-2014), trained in Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School, after which he joined McKinsey from 2008-2011. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and M.D. from Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
