Amit Phull, MD is the Chief Physician Experience Officer at Doximity, the largest network of verified medical professionals in the history of the United States and develops innovative technology in pursuit of our mission to rewire healthcare.
He enjoys working at the intersection of medicine, technology, and public service to help push for the development and application of technologies that enhance American health care delivery. He has deep experience in digital health, particularly in building and scaling teams in high-growth environments and is a frequently invited speaker on domestic health policy, the evolving needs of our healthcare workforce, and digital health innovation.
Amit is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician – having completed his residency training at Northwestern Medicine, where he serve as adjunct faculty. Having recently returned to the DC Metro area, he has joined the faculty at George Washington University as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
Throughout residency, Amit worked as an independent consultant and built out tech implementations for public service organizations including the Chicago Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation Education Service.
Prior to Doximity, Amit worked at Bain and Company in their healthcare vertical. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Virginia, having earned a minor in Chemistry, B.S. in Computer Science, and M.D. During medical school, he served as CTO for a digital health start-up that developed mobile Electronic Medical Records and billing systems.
